How to merge subtitles to MKV Video files?

We watch movies on out PC, Laptop or TV's by downloading from internet and sometimes we need subtitles on the bottom of the movie so we can read the dialogues which are not in our Regional language and sometimes the vocal accent is not clear to us. Subtitle of almost every movie are available free of cost and we can download subtitle files in srt format from websites such as www.moviesubtitles.org, www.subscene.com etc. The simplest way to see the subtitles on the movie we want to watch is rename the srt subtitle file anme to same as the file name of the movie downloaded from the internet.
For Example the Movie name is Fast Five.mkv then find the subtitle file from the above website and rename that subtitle file to Fast Five.srt, and place both the files in new folder and the name of the folder can be anything, now enjoy the movie with subtitles below using vlc player on PC or Laptop.

We also watch movies on our TV using USB or DLNA and some TV Models do not support this method so we need to merge subtitle srt file with the movie file. We need a tool to merge both Video file and Subtitle file so there is a very tiny and best tool by which we can merge Subtitle and More than one language audio files  in the video. the tool we can use for this function is mkvmerge GUI

Step 1.  Download MKVToolnix from the website or click here for direct link.
Step 2. After the download install the tool on your PC/ Laptop.
Step 3. Now open mkvmerge GUI shortcut from the start menu or desktop.

Step 4. Click on add button to add the mkv file in the list.
Step 5. Click add again to add the download subtitle srt file.
Step 6. Now click on the button  Start Muxing  Button.

Now your subtitle is merged with the movie file and you don't need to carry both the Video file and srt file in a folder. Just copy the new merged mkv file in your pen drive and enjoy the movie with subtitle on your TV.
