There is a very simple trick which i use to access blocked websites in universities and institutes. I use facebook,gmail and youtube very much and as i explained the concept of http and https in my previous post. where i cleared the concept of http and https.

So we can very easily open blocked websites by typing https in url of facebook, gmail and youtube websites. most of the institutes and companies have not blocked https url of websites.
etc.
We can also use IP address of websites instead of url if IP of the website is not blocked and how to get ip is explained in topic What is DNS server?
If none of above trick works then use Online proxy servers.
If online proxy servers are also blocked then use proxy software if you have administrator access to your PC to surf blocked websites.
Best proxy software is ultrasurf. But you have to compromise with your login information with the proxy server because they can store your all browsing information in their servers.
