What is E-mail Forging?

Forging an email is the technique to send email without login to the email server such as gmail, yahoo, hotmail etc. But the email address of the sender can belong to any domain of e-mail server.

For example a user want to send an email from the email-id of some popular celebrity then he should know the email address of that celebrity and then he can forge an email with the name of that celebrity and can send the email to as many recipients by using online email forging websites or if the sender knows little bit of technology then he can use smtp ports of some email server to forge an email. These days forged emails automatically saved to spam folder of email account. but still forged emails can be sent to the inbox of the victim receiver. 

How forged e-mail can harm someone?

The answer of this question is very simple if an employee is frustrated from his employer then he can forge the email with employer's email address without knowing the password of his email account. and he can send the email announcing holiday on next day. By doing this all the employees will think that they have received the email from the Boss and Boss is not aware of forged email.

So always ask the sender if u receive any doubted email from friend or near one's.

Someone may be take advantage and can harm you by doing this.
