How to enable hibernate Option in Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1

By default hibernate option is disabled and you need to enable hibernate option in start button. So we can use the feature in which we don't need to close any program or software. By applying hibernate all the programs remain open when we power on our Computer or Laptop again.


Steps to enable hibernate are as follows.

1. Open Power Options from Control Panel or type powercfg.cpl in search box of Windows 7/8/8.1.


2. From Power Options window click on Choose what the power button does link on the left side of the pane.


3. Under setting hibernate option is disabled by default.


4. Now click on Change settings that are currently available.


5. Under Shutdown settings enable Hibernate and then click on Save changes button.


Now you can see hibernate under the shutdown option of your start button.


Enjoy hibernate and get rid of time taken in Powering On and Shutting Down. It also helps to prevents for Windows Corruption.
